Patent Portfolio
Ten applications on file with the USPTO
Forged Lucidity maintains a portfolio of ten patent applications covering the operational tools built on the Cx framework. The research itself is published openly. The engineering - how we turn the theory into working systems - is protected.
Guiding principle: The WHAT and WHY are shared freely. The HOW is protected. This is how a cooperative sustains itself - the framework belongs to everyone, the tools we build to implement it fund the organization and its members.
Portfolio Coverage
Patent Family 1
Coherence Measurement Methodology
Core measurement architecture for quantifying coherence (C) and integrated information (Φ) across physical systems. The foundational signal processing pipeline.
Patent Family 2
Multi-Domain Signal Processing
Architecture for applying the Cx operator across heterogeneous data domains without domain-specific parameter tuning. One pipeline, any signal.
Patent Family 3
AI Companion Systems
Dyadic AI architecture designed to optimize the human partner’s Cx rather than task completion. The Socratic constraint engine.
Patent Family 4
Cognitive Operating System
System architecture for persistent context, memory integration, and longitudinal user modeling across sustained human-AI collaboration.
Patent Family 5
Skill Architecture & Routing
Dynamic capability routing using coherence-based classification. The system that determines which cognitive resources to deploy for a given interaction.
Patent Family 6
Forecasting Methodology
Calibration-first prediction framework integrating superforecasting methodology with coherence measurement for probability assessment across domains.
Patent Family 7
Consciousness Inquiry Protocols
Structured protocols for investigating consciousness states using the Cx framework, including phenomenological markers and integration assessment.
Patent Family 8
Clinical Applications
ELICIT - a clinical measurement tool for assessing conscious states in medical settings. Structurally parallel to the validated Perturbational Complexity Index.
Patent Family 9
Autonomous Infrastructure
Self-governing system architecture for legal compliance, operational monitoring, and organizational health - treating compliance as autonomic function.
Patent Family 10
Information-Theoretic Foundations
Mathematical grounding in information geometry, category theory, and differential topology. The theoretical bridge between the Cx operator and established physics.
Current state (2026): Ten applications on file. Nine provisionals were filed in a single tranche January 20–26, 2026, all Small Entity, each establishing a priority date; a tenth application was filed March 23, 2026 and is in nonprovisional conversion. Missing-parts formalities on the January family are being cured on the USPTO schedule. Additional provisionals are in active development. Nonprovisional conversions of the January family come due January 20–26, 2027. The portfolio exists to support two things: the ability to build Eous as a defensible product, and the ability for federal research programs and clinical partners to engage the science without ambiguity about what is protected.
Portfolio Strategy
All applications were filed in 2026, establishing priority dates. The portfolio is managed directly by the founder, whose legal background in intellectual property provides strategic oversight without external counsel dependency.
A restricted use covenant attaches to all IP: no offensive weapons, no autonomous kill chains, no mass surveillance. This covenant travels with every license and transfer. It cannot be stripped without supermajority amendment of the operating agreement.
